“Eden au Lac” (2004) is a mural drawing made only with barcode labels stuck on a sheet of plastic (180x340cm). It can be read with a handheld barcode scanner to display several hundred text fragments and factoids, including animal biographies from the Swiss national cattle movement database, official texts, handbook excerpts, glossaries on herding, writings by alpine cowboys and cowgirls, literary & historic material, and my own texts.
